Bali is a small island that vulnerable to withstand the tsunami. According to Geophysic and Meteorology Body that Bali would likely to be drown in 2030. Whether this calculation will come true or not may only God knows. But as a human and believes in God, human is requested to try hard to prevent this happened.

The early warning exercises and the tsunami alert is one of Bali people's effort to minimise the impact of the tsunami disaster. Since 2007 there were tsunami alert drilling and introduction to Bali people in villages, especially coastal villages. This activities were conducted by Research and Technology Ministry, Indonesia Science institution, and other international NGOs.

PPLH Bali worked in conjunction with GTZ IS was held introduction and training early warning and tsunami alert for the teachers, Bali local NGOs and coastal woman groups. It's expected the target audience will become leaders that able to inform to their students, their partnership groups and their families about tsunami and what danger with it and how to minimise the impact of the tsunami.

Located at Mercure Hotel in January 28 till 31 2008, GTZ IS invited all its partners of NGO and government from 4 areas in Indonesia; Padang (West Sumatera), Aceh, Java and Bali. This national meeting aimed to evaluate and plan the 2008 programs. The other result of this meeting is tsunami issue is still important and always on the government and people's agenda, the need that government to allocate special fund, there should be any development of coordination between institutions and the need to have corporation with foreign organisation.
