It's clear that why the No. 4 Denpasar State Junior Highschool (SMP Negeri 4 Denpasar) was included to the Adiwiyata award candidates from Bali in 2007. not only that the clean and neat surrounding of the school but also the school policy, curriculum and participation of all school components had been counted. Around April or May this year, judges of the national team from Indonesia Environment Ministry will evaluate and review the school, and if the school pass the muster, this school will be awarded as Adiwiyata School in the middle level. The school fight to win the competition, aside from the administration preparation and school physical appearance, the school principal encouraged students participation into the program. So, in January 18 2008, PPLH Bali invited to give lesson to the grade 7class, new students of the school. The class was given the local curriculum about waste management and PPLH Bali was aiding the school to pass the knowledge to the students. The grade 7 class students all 120 students were separated into groups. The aim of the program is that each student may able to practice the lesson both in school and also at home.
